This suite of qualifications are for anyone interested in becoming an external quality assurer (EQA) or as previously known external verifier (EV), is already in a quality role and requires a recognised EQA / EV qualification (as part of an awarding organisation), has D35/V2 and would like to upskill to the current version of the EQA / EV qualification or is leading a team of EQA’s / EV’s.

This qualification is for any EQA’s / EV’s who maintain the external quality of assessment from outside an organisation or assessment centre, usually on behalf of an awarding organisation.

This qualification contains two units:

  • Unit 1 – Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Unit 2  – Externally Assure the Quality of Assessment

Unit 1 is knowledge based and Unit 2 is practical based. You must be training/working as an EQA/EV, with an awarding organisation and must have access to at least two Centres.

  • You must be a qualified assessor and IQA/IV, have the ability to complete documentation required for assessment electronically, have access to the internet and have the ability to send email.
  • Support will be provided by a mixture of email, Skype and webinars.

This qualification is for anyone who leads a team of external quality assurance staff within an awarding organisation.

This qualification contains three units:

  • Unit 1 – Understanding the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
  • Unit 2  – Externally Assure the Quality of Assessment
  • Unit 3 – Plan, Allocate and Monitor Work in Own Area of Responsibility

Unit 1 is knowledge based and Unit 2 and 3 are practical based. You must be training/working as a Lead EQA/EV and have access to at least two Centres (Unit 2 requirements).

Any of the units listed can be taken as stand-alone units and certificated individually. This allows learners to build up units of credit to make a qualification over a period of time or learners may have already achieved part of the qualification and would like to apply for credit transfer (or more commonly known as APA – Accreditation of Prior Achievement).

  • You must be a qualified assessor and IQA/IV, have the ability to complete documentation required for assessment electronically, have access to the internet and have the ability to send email.
  • Support will be provided by a mixture of email, Skype and webinar’s.
